NEXUS Wellness Collective at Albany offers a wide variety of lifestyle amenities, classes and fitness equipment to allow you to explore different types of exercise, which you can implement into your daily life to achieve overall wellness.

 

Albany's state-of-the-art fitness complex features a 25-meter lap pool, dedicated CrossFit gym, full-size boxing ring, and a variety of fitness classes including pilates, yoga, kickboxing, conditioning, and spinning. A team of expert trainers are also available for personal sessions or can create a custom training program to help anyone reach their peak potential.

Adult Early Bird Swim

This swim class is perfect for all levels, ages 18 and older, with a focus on endurance and interval training.

All Levels Adult Swim

All levels, ages 18 and older, are welcome to dive in and improve all areas of their swimming technique.

 

Boot Camp

This indoor and outdoor workout combines cardio and weights for an intense class that will leave you sweating.

 

Butts & Gutts

This one-hour workout will leave your glutes and core strengthened.

 

Circuit Blast

This class includes high intensity interval training in circuit form that will boost your mood and burn calories.

 

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a classical form of yoga that is thorough, comprehensive and deep. The practice is a combination of yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which harmonizes the mind and heals the body.

 

HIIT Hour

Enjoy high intensity interval training with one hour of intervals, weights and cardio.

 

Interval Spin

This class is guaranteed to get your heart rate up with a series of intervals through flat roads and hills on the spin bike.

 

Masters Swimming

Take your swimming to the next level in this 90-minute focused interval and technique swim training class. All levels, ages 18 and older are welcome.

 

Power Spin

This class is based on your individual power and incorporates drills for a strong workout.

Ocean Swim

All levels are welcome to enjoy the open water and sharpen your triathlon skills.

 

Power Yoga

Power Yoga is a vigorous class based on ashtanga yoga, which focuses on building strength and heat in the body through poses that use power and agility. The benefits are increased stamina, stress relief and flexibility.

Antigravity

Antigravity is a comprehensive fitness technique designed to increase one's overall health and physical agility while having fun. This unique combination of exercises, as a sequence, is intended to decompress one's spine and align the body from head to toe while stretching and strengthening one's muscles.

 

Our Suspension Fitness 1 & 2 classes force you to get out of the box and elevate your workout to burn calories and raise your mood. Aerial Yoga 1 & 2 pushing you to stretch further and hold challenging postures for a longer period of time.

A 45-minute high intensity spin class with 15 minutes of core to finish.

Tabata Training

Experience high intensity interval training featuring exercises that last for four minutes.

Vinyasa Flow

This dynamic class incorporates synchronized movement with breathing in a moving meditation, which creates strength, balance and flexibility.

 

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that combines simple but effective poses, which are held for three to five minutes. The purpose is to apply moderate stress on the connective tissues, the tendons, fascia and ligaments, with the goal of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. The class provides deep relief within the muscles and joints while increasing spinal mobility and agility.

Zumba

Zumba incorporates aerobic movements that are inspired by various styles of Latin American dance.

 

Meditation

Our yoga meditations are designed to deepen your body awareness, calm your mind and move you into a strong meditative state. Learn how to relieve stress and boost your mood with powerful relaxation techniques such as mindfulness meditation, deep breathing and visualization.

 

Active Isolated Stretching

The Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) method of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a type of Athletic Stretching Technique that provides effective, dynamic, and facilitated stretching of major muscle groups. More importantly, AIS provides functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes.

Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise that concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility while giving attention to the mind-body connection. While doing the various exercises, your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves.
